Televes Products

Televes antennas are manufactured in-house at the company's facilities in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. The company has been producing antennas there since its early days, ensuring high-quality control and innovation in its manufacturing process. Over the years, Televes has expanded its operations and now has subsidiaries in multiple countries, but its core production remains in Spain2.

Televes is a well-known brand specializing in high-quality TV antennas and signal amplification products. Their antennas are designed to provide excellent reception for digital over-the-air (OTA) broadcasts, making them a great choice for cord-cutters who want free access to local TV channels.

Televes offers a variety of antennas suited for different environments:

DINOVA BOSS MIX – A compact outdoor/attic antenna designed for metro and suburban locations.

  • ELLIPSE MIX – A high-performance outdoor/attic antenna for towns and rural areas.
  • DAT BOSS MIX LR – A long-range outdoor antenna for countryside locations, capable of receiving signals from up to 100 miles away.

These antennas feature BOSS Tech (TForce) technology, which automatically adjusts signal gain to optimize reception. They are also shielded against interference from FM, LTE, 4G, and 5G signals, ensuring a stable and clear TV signal.

Does your HOA restrict outdoor antennas?

FCC OTARD Information

Over-the-Air Reception Devices Rule | Federal Communications Commission

📡

FCC OTARD Rule — Quick Summary

The Over-the-Air Reception Devices (OTARD) Rule, established by the FCC under Section 207 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, protects consumers’ rights to install certain antennas without interference from local governments, HOAs, landlords, or other entities.

✅

What’s Covered:

  • TV antennas for local broadcast reception
  • Satellite dishes ≤ 1 meter in diameter (any size      in Alaska)
  • Fixed wireless antennas for broadband or      voice/data services
  • Starlink and similar systems (if      installed on the customer’s premises)

🚫

Restrictions Prohibited by FCC:

  • Rules      that unreasonably delay, increase cost, or prevent installation/use
  • Requirements      for permits or prior approval,      unless for safety or historic preservation
  • Restrictions      on antennas in exclusive-use areas (e.g.,      patios, balconies, rooftops of owned homes)

Letter to your HOA

Subject: FCC OTARD Rule – Legal Right to Install Outdoor Antennas

Dear [HOA Board / Property Manager],

I’m writing on behalf of Alan Stark regarding the installation of an outdoor antenna system at their residence located at ___________ This letter is to clarify that the installation is fully protected under federal law, specifically the FCC’s Over-the-Air Reception Devices (OTARD) Rule, codified under 47 C.F.R. § 1.4000.

The OTARD Rule, established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), prohibits restrictions that impair the installation, maintenance, or use of:

  • TV antennas      for local broadcast reception
  • Satellite      dishes (≤ 1 meter in diameter)
  • Fixed wireless      antennas used for broadband or voice/data services
  • Systems like      Starlink, when installed on the customer’s premises

Importantly, the rule applies to exclusive-use areas such as patios, balconies, and rooftops of individually owned homes. HOAs, landlords, and local governments cannot enforce rules that:

  • Unreasonably delay or prevent installation
  • Increase the cost of installation
  • Require permits or prior approval (except for safety or historic      preservation)

The antenna planed will comply with all safety and placement guidelines outlined by the FCC. Therefore, any attempt to restrict or remove it would constitute a violation of federal law.

We respectfully request that the HOA acknowledge this legal protection and refrain from further interference. If you have any questions or require documentation, I’d be happy to provide supporting materials from the FCC’s official guidance.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
